Wicks, Charlie

Charlie Wicks turned pipes for Henry Starck from 1937 to 1946, and for a time(1955)made pipes with George Alexander before going out on his own in the late 1950′s. He continued until sometime in the 1960′s.

“Thanks to Ronan Maguire, St Laurence O’Toole PB for these pictures” -

This set from 1955 was made by Charlie Wicks.

Drone top and cord beads very "Starckish" in looks.

Combing and deep rounded beads not unlike a Starck bagpipe.
