Gunn, William

Glasgow pipemaker William Gunn ran his business from 1834 – 1866. Some interesting tidbits -

- Gunn was credited with being the first to make a smallpipe chanter that tuned to the highland bagpipes scale and used the same fingering.

- one of his turners, William MacKinnon(PM of the 74th Highlanders), went on to turn pipes for Donald MacPhee

- Gunn was a fairly  prolific composer and was published in his own book as well as William Ross’.
