Stark, Allan G.

Allan Stark worked for J & R Glen from around 1914 until 1947, when he started making  pipes on his own.  He continued until 1960 when he emigrated to Australia.

  1. i play a set of stark bagpipes. i have had them since the mid 1970″s the stamp on them is allan g stark edinburgh scotland. full ivory set except when i got them from a widower they were stored many years in a leather case with cloves in the box and the ivory has tarnished almost beige or lite brown any comment on history of these pipes would be welcomed. i believe i am the second owner according to the history that the lady gave us when my grandfather purchased them for me thanks ron morandin(edmonton alberta canada)
