R.G. Hardie
Modern R.G Hardie bagpipes are made in Glasgow by the RG Hardie group. They are hand crafted from the finest African blackwood, and are one of the most sought after bagpipes in the world. Their unique sound and tonal qualities are based on a design from a 1924 set of Henderson bagpipes owned by the father-in-law of company’s manager Alastair Dunn. The bore dimensions are identical the the Peter Henderson, and St Kilda brand bagpipes made by the same firm. They are crafted by a team with over 40 years experience. Their chief turner has been with R.G. Hardie since 1962.
