I have a set of KB3 Kintail pipes which I purchased new in 2010. I have Canning drone reeds with carbon fibre bass and a Megarity chanter in a Shepherd (band) chanter. The Kintail poly chanter is also very good. These pipes sound very good and have a nice strong but mellow drone sound and good balance. They are easy to play and so far have been very reliable. I am very happy with them.
