Boosey & Hawkes

Boosey & Hawkes is still in business as a major music publisher in London.
Up until recently, they manufactured brass, string, and wind musical instruments.
From the 1930′s to the mid-1950′s, Boosey & Hawkes sold bagpipes, which were turned to their
specifications by various manufactures and branded with the “Boosey & Hawkes” name.
One of the providers of bagpipes was Henry Starck Bagpipes of London. It is believed
that the pictured pipes were manufactured in the 1930′s by the Henry Starck Bagpipes
due to the manufacturing quality and the deep beading which was distinctive of Starck pipes.

Thanks to Robert Winkle of Boise Idaho for the information about B & H above, and for the following pictures -
