Douglas and Son Ltd.

Douglas and Son was listed as a musical instrument maker from the mid 1860′s focusing on brass and military instruments.  According to Jeannie Campbell’s book,  they appeared as bagpipe makers in the Glasgow trade directories from 1914 to 1925.  Some conclude that they  may have sold bagpipes made by other firms.

  1. Was there any relationship between Douglas and Son and Lawrie pipe makers? My pipes were appraised by two different apprisers and they listed these two different makers. SM
